Western Illinois University’s Office of Public Safety (OPS) is investigating a recent theft that happened on a WIU move-in day.
OPS said a Braille note tablet reader and two shirts were stolen from a student’s Corbin Hall dorm room on Saturday around 10:50 a.m.
NEWS3 confirmed the items belong to WIU sophomore Nate Clark, who’s blind and uses the device for class.
Clark has set up a GoFundMe page in hopes of raising at least $6,500 to buy a new device.
