MACOMB, Ill. (NEWS3) — After a string of cancellations around the state due to the coronavirus pandemic, the City of Macomb is taking precautions by cancelling the spring clean-up.
The city-wide cleanup day was originally scheduled for May 11 through May 14 and May 18, but city officials are postponing the event.
Officials said the No Sticker Spring Yard Waste Collection scheduled for March 30 through May 7 is still expected to happen.
The Yard Waste Site on Tower Road will still open to residents on April 2. The hours of operation for the site are Thursday through Sunday 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.
Waste Management suspended handling of incoming residential calls at the landfill and bulky item collection until further notice.
