Macomb man injured after crash

MCDONOUGH CO., Ill. (NEWS3) — A Macomb man was taken to the hospital and charged with DUI after a crash Tuesday night.

Illinois State Police said the crash happened just before 7:30 p.m. Tuesday on County Road 2100 East at County Road 700 North in the New Salem Township of McDonough County, between Adair and Industry.

Police said Waylon Paul, 48, of Macomb was driving a 2006 Chevrolet Colorado northbound on County Road 2100 East when he drove off the side of the road and into a ditch.

Troopers said the car rolled over and Paul was ejected from the vehicle. He was taken to an area hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

Paul was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol, driving with a suspended license, illegal transportation of alcohol, improper lane usage and failure to wear seat belt.
